Sacred Heart Parish 

Fall Pancake Breakfast at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Wynot, NE. On Sunday October 26, 2014, serving from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, fresh sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. Bake Sale, door prizes and fresh sausage and Centennial Cookbooks for sale. PLEASE JOIN US!


Mark your calendars for the Sacred Heart Parish Bazaar and Dinner, coming up on Sunday, November 2nd located at 509 Capitol St, Yankton SD in the Parish Community Center.  Serving times will be from 10:30am to 6:00pm.  Purchase tickets in advance for discounted prices through Sacred Heart Parish, or after Masses Oct. 18th/19th and Oct. 25th/26th. We will again have the religious book sale and wonderful bake sale booth.  Games for the entire family will be in Link Auditorium again, and bingo will be held from 2-4.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!!

 

HARVEST DINNER 2014 AT GOLGOTHA 

You are cordially invited to Golgotha Lutheran Church’s Harvest Dinner on Sunday November 9, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Golgotha Fellowship Hall. Golgotha Lutheran Church is located at 87242 543rd Avenue, Wausa, NE 68786. Church service that day will be at 9:30 a.m. We will be serving Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and a variety of salads and great tasting homemade desserts! The costs are $9 for adults, K-6th grade are $5 and preschool aged children and under are free. Also there will be children’s activities downstairs after they are done eating. Everyone is welcome to attend the Harvest Dinner for great food, fun, and fellowship. We look forward to seeing you there!

 

 

VFW Scholarship Voice of Democracy

Need money for college? The Veterans of Foreign Wars... VFW... gives out over two million dollars in college scholarships ever year to 9th...10th...11th... and 12th grade students through their Voice of Democracy Scholarship Contest. All you need to do is write a 3-5 minute audio essay on a patriotic theme. This year's theme is "Why Veterans are Important to our Nation's History & Future." The top National prize is a $30,000 scholarship and first place state winners win a trip to Washington, D.C. Visit the VFW's website at www.vfw.org for additional information.
